Sam's journey into sound
Sam David has been working with sound as a healing modality for over 30 years, creating intuitive and immersive sound journeys using a wide range of indigenous instruments and vocal expressions.
Born in Hawaii and raised in California, Sam was deeply influenced from an early age by Hawaiian culture and his mother’s close connection to the Chumash tribe. Their healing traditions and ceremonial drumming shaped the foundation of his work from an early age. During his return voyages to Hawaii, Sam was also profoundly shaped by the sounds and “codes” of whales and dolphins, deepening his dedication to sound’s transformative power.
Sam began playing the didgeridoo at 17 and later traveled through Australia, learning the instrument with deep respect for its traditional roots. Over the years, Sam has integrated Tuvan throat singing, overtone chanting, Tibetan bowls, Native drum and flute, and intuitive vocals into his work.
Guided by awareness and humility, he creates immersive sound journeys, intuitively weaving these sacred sounds together to support healing and transformation on the physical, emotional, and soul level.
